Jogo do bicho is a Brazilian lottery-style game running dozens of draws per day across multiple state operators. Live results are aggregated on the Portuguese hub — this page explains the drawing systems for English readers.
Where results come from
The main draw sources are: PT-Rio (five draws per day from Rio de Janeiro — PPT, PTM, PTV, PTN and Corujinha), Loteria Federal (Caixa) on Wednesdays and Saturdays (19:00 Brasília time), and 15+ regional bancas (LBR, LOOK-Goiás, LOTEP-Paraíba, etc.). All of these publish the drawn 4-digit combinations that determine the 25 animal groups.
How to read a result
A jogo do bicho draw produces five 4-digit numbers (prêmios 1 through 5). Each 4-digit combination maps to one of the 25 animal groups based on its final two digits (dezena). Group 01 (Ostrich) covers dezenas 01-04, Group 02 (Eagle) covers 05-08, and so on through Group 25 (Cow) which covers 97-00. The mapping is fixed and identical across all Brazilian operators.
